Babassu & Mint Damage Repair Shampoo

Gentle sulphate-free shampoo that preps damaged hair for the repair system

CGM ApprovedBabassu & MintProtein-FreeStep: Cleanse

Our Take

The first step in Mielle's four-part Babassu & Mint Damage Repair system, this sulphate-free, protein-free cleanser is formulated to remove buildup without placing additional mechanical or chemical stress on hair that's already compromised. Hair that has been damaged by bleach, heat, or protective styles has a more fragile cuticle — this shampoo uses softening agents that allow it to cleanse without further disrupting that structure. The protein repair work is intentionally saved for the Bond Treatment and Leave-In later in the system. If you're rebuilding severely damaged hair, starting the full system here makes sense.
