Mid RangeUS-founded textured hair brand built on a deeply personal mission. Mielle was launched in 2014 by Monique Rodriguez — a former nurse from Chicago — who began experimenting with natural hair formulations after the loss of her son and her own journey with hair loss. The brand became a community touchstone for Black women with curly and coily hair, known for its vitamin-enriched, botanically-led formulations. Products are organised around targeted hair concerns: scalp health, moisture, strength, and definition. The now-iconic Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil went viral on TikTok in early 2023, briefly emptying shelves worldwide. In January 2023, Mielle was acquired by P&G Beauty — the first major acquisition of a Black-founded beauty brand by a large multinational. Monique Rodriguez continues as CEO and Melvin Rodriguez as COO; the brand operates as an independent subsidiary. Available in the UK via Boots, Amazon, and selected independent retailers. Not fully vegan — several products in the Honey range contain real honey (Mel/Miel).
