Achieving true hydration during the cleansing step — rather than just removing what's there and hoping the conditioner compensates — is harder than most brands make it sound. This sulphate-free, protein-free shampoo from the Kalahari Melon & Aloe Vera range does it through a combination of Kalahari melon seed oil (a lightweight, fast-absorbing oil that doesn't need rinsing out) and aloe vera, which draws moisture into the hair shaft as it cleanses. The result is hair that feels genuinely clean and softer than before washing, not just less grimy. Works across all curl types; particularly useful for high-porosity hair that tends towards dryness even immediately after washing.
